Rehabilitation Garden Terrace offers an in-house staff of trained and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists to accommodate the needs of its residents or adult day participants on an out-patient basis. Maintaining residents physical strength, endurance and energy level is extremely important to their mental as well as physical well-being. Our rehab staff is especially trained to provide therapies for residents or patients with dementia.

Respite Care This service is designed for those individuals who receive care or supervision at home, whose caregivers need a few days of rest or vacation. Residents admitted for respite care will receive all the services available to the long term resident including: Round the clock nursing care Individualized care plan Activity programming Social service interventions Regular and therapeutic diets as well as snacks Laundry service if desired. Respite care residents may be accepted for periods up to 30 days, however, some pre-admission forms must be completed and the resident must be appropriate for placement in the facility. Each respite care resident must have an attending physician. We ask for a 24 hour notification for respite placement.Respite care is also available to participants of the adult day program at a reduced rate. Alzheimer's Support Group Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Excellence sponsors a monthly support group meeting on behalf of the Greater Houston Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. Each meeting is held in the multi-purpose room on the first Wednesday of each month and is open to caregivers in the community who have family members afflicted with Alzheimer's disease.
