Secured Courtyards: Each of the 5 nursing units has a beautifully landscaped outdoor courtyard secured with a seven foot enclosed wood fence. Residents can safely wander day or night because of the lighted night poles and available hand rails. For those residents who would rather be more comfortable sitting, ample patio furniture, benches, and covered gazebos are available. Aesthetically, however, these courtyards look and feel like anyone's backyard! Planting beds are also be available to allow interested residents to practice using their green thumbs!

Resident Rooms: Resident rooms have been designed to be as spacious and accommodating as possible, with as much personal furniture and decor that residents and families can physically fit into the room within some safety limitations. Residents and/or family members may choose from three room plans, all with privacy and comfort in mind, a standard semi-private, deluxe semi-private, and a private. The deluxe and private rooms offer more available resident space to make it as homelike as possible.

Ice-Cream Parlor Enjoying ice cream is a favorite for most people regardless of age, but especially for the elderly, who always remember how great ice-cream is on one's taste buds! Regardless of taste preferences, the ice-cream parlor is always stocked with plenty of favorite flavors, toppings and choices. Resident family members and visitors are encouraged to help themselves and their residents in accordance with doctor's orders and dietary requirements (restrictions).

Hospitality Suite: Admission to a nursing facility can be one of the most stressful and emotional times for family members. In order to facilitate this difficult transition, Garden Terrace has created a hospitality suite for family members to stay a night or two so they don't have to go far to visit their resident. With all of the amenities of a hotel room including private shower, bathroom, cable t.v., alarm clock, and telephone, the suite can be reserved for newly admitted family members or for out of town family members who would ordinarily be inconvenienced having to find a hotel or other accommodations. A one week advance reservation would be appreciated.

Private Dining Room Many times families wish to be alone with their resident and extended family, to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or holiday. In order to accommodate this intimate environment, Garden Terrace has re-created a dining room modeled after anyone's home version, complete with a dining room that seats ten and additional space for another table of four. Families wishing to cater their own meal may do so, or for a nominal cost of the food, Garden Terrace's dietary staff will prepare your menu and serve the meal. A two week advance reservation with the dietary department would be appreciated.
